- Private participation in energy in emerging markets was US$37.6 billion in 2015, 50 % below the five-year average of US$74.7 billion.
- The decline is largely due to both Brazil and India having the lowest investment in a decade; the Philippines hit an all-time high.
- Unlike previous years, renewables made up almost 2/3 of investment in energy; solar energy investment was 72% higher than the five-year average.
