GoldLinQ was awarded the contract for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of stage one of the Gold Coast Light Rail project in 2011. The design and construction element of the project will run for approximately three years from contract award and it is anticipated that it will be completed by 2014. This includes the manufacture and supply of the trams and rail systems, track laying, station and structures, and the assembly of the overhead power supply.
