The World Bank 2018 - This report documents and analyzes trends in low-carbon infrastructure investments in low- and middle-income countries, particularly with respect to private-sector investments in infrastructure projects as recorded by the Private Participation in Infrastructure (PPI) database.

A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) specifies the contract between two parties: a) the seller, who generates electricity,and; b) the buyer, who is looking to buy electricity. It defines all the terms for the sale between the two. A PPA secures the payment stream for a Build-Own Transfer (BOT) or concession project for an independent power plant (IPP). It is between the purchaser (often a state-owned electricity utility) and a privately owned power producer.

The purpose of this document is to invite the submission of proposals to provide legal and regulatory advisory services to the Project Steering Committee of the Lignite Power Technical Assistance Project (the Project Steering Committee).

The work to be undertaken by the advisors (the Consultant) will be to assist the Client in attracting private sector participation to: Develop the [Lignite Field]. The development project will focus both on (i) providing a reliable long-term fuel supply for the new power plant and the country's existing generators, and (ii) on meeting the country’s short-term coal supply financing needs through the monetization of the country’s lignite

The CCLP EU Case Studies Project

The Carbon Capture Legal Programme launched the 'EU Case Studies Project' in January 2010. The project analyses the implementation of Directive 2009/31/EC on the geological storage of carbon dioxide (‘CCS Directive’) in selected European jurisdictions - the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Romania, Spain and Norway. Each jurisdiction, for distinct reasons, provides an example of different approaches to the transposition and to CCS in general.
