Compendium on Public Private Partnerships in Urban Infrastructure – Case Studies, Ernst and Young in collaboration with the Ministry of Urban Development of the Government of India and the Confederation of Indian Industry. 

This study highlights some of the commendable work being done by municipalities/urban local bodies in India. It covers mainly projects in the following sectors: Water Supply & Sewerage, Solid Waste Management, and Urban Transport. The last section contains key lessons.

 

Tamil Nadu - Bus Shelter on a BOT basis - Sample Concession Agreement

Draft concession agreement with RFP

Parties - IT Expressway Limited (ITEL) and concessionaire

Duration - 9 years (including 9 month construction period)

Project site - bus shelter locations - possession granted by ITEL to concessionaire

Concessionaire to dismantle existing structures and design, build, operate and maintain new bus shelters as specified locations. Design to be reviewed and approved by the Engineer-in-charge (representative of ITEL) who will also inspect works.

Operations Agreement for bus shelters in Patna, Bihar, India

Model concession agreement for diagnostic center on design, build, develop, finance, operate and transfer (DBDFOT) basis and provide diagnostic services (including supply of equipment and staff) to concessionaire's own private patients as well as a minimum of public health funded patients.  Developed for use by states for health care provision

Model concession agreement for greenfield dedical hospital [and teaching hospital] on design, build, develop, finance, operate and transfer (DBDFOT) basis and provide hospital services (including supply of equipment and staff) to concessionaire's own private patients as well as a minimum of public health funded patients. Developed for use by states for health care provision.
