ESMAP gender and energy online toolkit for practitioners

ESMAP gender and energy online toolkit for practitioners

These online resources provide basic tools to energy teams for mainstreaming gender considerations into energy sector activities.  Included are sample questionnaires and checklists, examples of terms of references (TORs) and screening guidance, which can be downloaded for use by task teams.

These resources have been developed by a number of organisations including the World Bank, ADB, ENERGIA and the University of Twente, and are consolidated here for energy and social practitioners addressing gender aspects of energy projects.  The resources are supported by a Briefing Note on Integrating Gender Considerations into Energy Operations which helps to place the tools in the overall context of why and how to mainstream gender in energy sector operations.
