PPPIRC FY16 Annual Report

These are milestone achievements coming during a significant year for PPPLRC: the 10 year anniversary from the initial website in 2006.  Over the last 10 years, the PPPLRC grew from a small pilot to one of the most recognized sites on PPP documents on the internet, a valuable resource for policy makers, transaction advisors, government officials and others involved in structuring and contracting PPPs.

Technology moves fast, and in order to keep up, the Public-Private Partnership in Infrastructure Resource Center for Contracts, Laws and Regulation (PPPLRC) has upgraded to a faster and better platform to improve the performance of the site and make it easier for you to find what you are looking for.

Emerging Policy Issues: Localization Barriers to Trade

Despite the predominately negative evidence of the impact of local content requirements on trade, they continue to play a significant role in trade policy. This has been particularly true since the financial crisis of 2008. The work presented here provides new evidence of the detrimental effects these policies have on the imposing country’s own economy. Most empirical studies have focused on the long run inefficiencies associated with LCRs, notably in the effected sector.
