Restart NSW

Established in 2011, the Restart NSW Fund finances high-priority infrastructure projects to enhance economic growth and productivity across New South Wales.

Funded through the State’s asset recycling program, the Fund had allocated $2.47 billion to over 817 projects by June 2024, with more than 660 completed and 157 underway. Governed by the Restart NSW Fund Act 2011, Infrastructure NSW evaluates proposals based on a Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) above 1.

Funding supports both government-led and community-based projects, with 30% earmarked for regional and rural areas outside Sydney, Newcastle, and Wollongong.
