Blended Finance and the Gender-Energy Nexus: A Stocktaking Report

This report, authored by Ayesha Bery and colleagues, reviews current practices in gender-responsive climate blended finance, focusing on the energy sector.

It is structured in three parts:

Part 1 outlines key data trends across sectors, regions, investors, and finance vehicles.

Part 2 analyzes five case studies where blended finance supported both clean energy and gender outcomes.

Part 3 identifies core challenges and provides actionable recommendations for increasing gender-responsive investment in climate finance.

The goal is to strengthen the integration of gender considerations into blended climate finance strategies to support inclusive, sustainable development.
