Handshake is the IFC’s quarterly journal on public-private partnerships.

Many have been lured into the trap of the single African story, illustrated by a dated photo or dismissed in a headline. Handshake #11, Africa & PPPs, presents readers with a more accurate—and exciting—narrative of African progress. This is the economic progress that attracts investors by emphasizing partnerships between the private sector and African governments committed to the best for their citizens. In this issue, focused exclusively on public-private partnerships (PPPs) in Africa, articles and interviews look at the people and projects that power African progress.
