Reference Tool on Inclusive Infrastructure and Social Equity

The Reference Tool on Inclusive Infrastructure and Social Equity presents a practical evidence-based framework for practitioners to maximise the impact of infrastructure investment on reducing inequality and increasing the positive social outcomes of large infrastructure projects for often under-served or vulnerable groups.

The tool presents a framework which details six Action Areas, or themes, related to infrastructure development, and provides related guidance under each, which are then illustrated by real-life examples, including eight detailed case studies. These real-life projects have embedded inclusivity at various stages of development and implementation across different geographies and sectors. The website for the tool provides easy navigation to topic, stakeholder group or case study, and also includes a discussion forum for users to interact further on topics of inclusivity in infrastructure.
