The IDA Private Sector Window (PSW) is a $2.5 billion initiative by the World Bank Group under IDA18–20 to catalyze private investment in the poorest and fragile countries.

It supports high-impact, commercially challenging projects by mitigating risks and leveraging IFC and MIGA tools. The PSW operates through four facilities: the Local Currency Facility (for long-term investments in weak capital markets), the Blended Finance Facility (co-investing in priority sectors), the Risk Mitigation Facility (providing non-sovereign guarantees for infrastructure), and the MIGA Guarantee Facility (expanding insurance through reinsurance/risk sharing).

PSW funding complements policy reform efforts and helps attract investors by lowering risk exposure. It does not directly finance projects but supports IFC/MIGA transactions. Investors must engage through standard IFC/MIGA channels.
