National Regulatory Authority for Communications and Information Technology of Romania: (ANCOM)

The National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) is the institution  that promotes the interests of service users by promoting competition and innovation in the markets of electronic communications and postal services, pro-competitive management of limited resources (radio spectrum, numbering resources and associated technical resources ), encouraging efficient investment in networks and infrastructure and promoting ultra-fast connectivity.

ANCOM was formed by bringing together two institutions with experience and expertise in the field of administration and regulation of this sector: the General Inspectorate for Communications and Information Technology (IGCTI) and the National Regulatory Authority for Communications and Information Technology (ANRCTI).
