Review of the National Partnership Agreement on Asset Recycling (2018)

The National Partnership Agreement on Asset Recycling (NPA) was initiated on 2 May 2014 and concluded on 30 June 2019.

This agreement was established to help alleviate fiscal limitations faced by State and Territory governments, which hindered their capacity to invest in new economic infrastructure. Its primary goal was to stimulate investment in productivity-enhancing infrastructure by incentivizing the divestment of state-owned assets, thereby freeing capital for reinvestment in further infrastructure development.
