The sections for Strategic Guidance for Country System Assessments and Guidance for Countries in Assessing ERC Projects were prepared with the assistance of Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
The sections are intended to be a living document and will be reviewed at regular intervals. The Guidelines have not been prepared with any specific transaction in mind and are meant to serve only as general guidance. It is therefore critical that the Guidelines be reviewed and adapted for specific transactions.
The section called Mobilizing ERC Finance, was based on consultations with experts from international private finance and development finance institutions largely carried out through a series of working group meetings focused on the key challenges constraining lending and investment for ERC activities and how to overcome them, recent case studies of ERC financing, and potential approaches to further advancing ERC financing in EMDEs.
The Working Group comprised representatives from:
- Bank of America
- British International Investment
- Carbon Place
- DBS Bank
- Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero
- HSBC
- International Finance Corporation
- Macquarie
- Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency
- Standard Chartered
- World Bank
Pollination organised and coordinated the working group, led discussions, and prepared materials aggregating know-how, which forms a fundamental part of the Mobilizing ERC Finance pages here.
