Corredor Logístico (Goascoran-Villa de San Antonio, Tegucigalpa -Villa de San Antonio- San Pedro Sula - Puerto Cortes) - Concession Agreement between the Republic of Honduras (conceding authority) and Vial Honduras S.A. (concessionaire) for a 392-km road that will connect the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast ("logistics corridor") under a design, finance, build, operate and transfer (DFBOT) scheme. The project comprises an extension of 88 km of road, the reinstatement of another 161 km of existing road and the maintenance of 391.8 km from Goascorán to Villa de San Antonio.
The conceding authority undertakes to guarantee to the concessionaire an annual minimum income during the lesser of: (i) 15 years or (ii) the debt repayment term, both since the date of acceptance of all works by the concessionaire. There are specific “minimum guaranteed annual income” (IMAG) amounts for each year of the concession, i.e. from 2015 to 2029. The agreement has a maximum duration of 20 years except if it gets extended or terminated before the time.
